Course Description
Learn to critically analyze, interrogate and reflect on social justice issues in higher education. Power inequalities in society shape these injustices in ways that are not only systemic and structural but also personal. We will explore ways in which issues of oppression, privilege and difference impact individual and systematic interactions in the context of colleges and universities. Students are expected to build a community that will enable participants to feel supported, encouraged and empowered to discuss and analyze issues, concerns and experiences related to diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice in higher education.
