Course Description
Designed for those interested in keeping the momentum going with their writing through the summer, this six-week intensive workshop focuses on what makes a given piece of fiction or nonfiction successful. You read and discuss author interviews and secondary sources to become more sensitive and deliberate in both your reading and writing. You examine how structure, narrative voice and a variety of other authorial choices contribute to the fullest expression of a story or essay. You then turn that level of focused attention upon your own stories in a supportive workshop setting.
