This course reviews foundational college algebra skills and key mathematical concepts essential for further study in mathematics, science, and other quantitative disciplines. Students will develop proficiency in solving linear, quadratic, and other algebraic equations and identities, while strengthening their understanding of functions, graphs, and algebraic structures. The curriculum emphasizes the analysis and graphing of linear, exponential, rational, logarithmic, and polynomial functions, as well as two-variable graphs of conic sections. Learners will also explore core concepts including function properties, mathematical modeling, and complex numbers, while interpreting relationships among symbolic, graphical, and numerical representations. By the end of the course, students will have developed a cohesive conceptual foundation that supports success in calculus, statistics, data science, engineering, and other advanced quantitative fields.
