Course Description
Learn the principles of ecology and concepts of life processes, and understand the movement of energy and materials through natural systems, population dynamics and biodiversity. Identify and critically discuss the connection between ecological principles and common issues related to sustainability and human behavior. Examine the practical applications of ecology in conservation biology, wetland management, natural resource management, city planning and urban ecology, community health, and economics. Learn about human ecology and ecopsychology, and study a broad spectrum of interrelated global issues through case studies. Understand the relationships between ecology and commerce, trade, world food supply and ocean decline.
