Course Description
This course provides design students with a strong foundation in the design process for residential, public and accessible bathroom design from conceptual drawings to design development and construction documents. Lectures and course assignments explore the fundamentals of residential, aging-in place, and commercial bathroom design, including the layout, space and use adjacencies, applicable life safety codes, accessible design, fixture and equipment specifications, cabinetry design and function, artificial and natural daylight, sustainable design, the impact of color and pattern, and finish specification.
